Since moving to Warsaw, I have been able to make some great friends and attend InterNations events with other expats who understand what it's like to be so far from home.

    More Information on Poznan

Poznan is one of Poland‘s oldest towns and is located in western Poland. It is a center of trade and sport and has one of the highest levels of quality of life in Poland. Thanks to its strategic position in the country, Poznan has always been a center of trade and as a result it is now the second most prosperous city in the country behind Warsaw. Several multinational firms have made Poznan their home over the past few years, with the unemployment rate in the city well under the national average. Poznan has quite a cool climate, although thanks to its proximity to the sea it’s not as bitter as in other eastern European cities — the winters rarely get below -10 degrees Celsius. Polish of course is the lingua franca of Poznan, although there is a local dialect spoken in the region. Polish derives from Russian (as most eastern European languages do), but crucially it uses the roman alphabet, which makes it slightly easier for most expats to grasp. Settle in Poznan with InterNations and kickstart your new life.

InterNations is the largest global network for expatriates, with communities in 420 cities around the world. Meet fellow global minds in your city of residence or get to know local expatriates before you're moving or traveling abroad and never feel like a stranger. InterNations makes it easy for you to stay in touch with your expat friends, both online and offline, so you can grow your network of friends and contacts from all over the world. Whether they live in Bratislava or Prague, InterNations allows you to be close to them even if they are miles away.
